Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to Merit America's mission of upward mobility for low-wage workers.
- Previous experience with career coaching, tutoring, education, counseling, youth development, or non-profits.
- Strong expertise in job search strategies, resume/cover letter writing, and interviewing skills.
- Ability to work a 4-day work week that includes evenings and weekends.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Demonstrated self-management, adaptability, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).
- Ability to work autonomously in an evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive, supportive environment and build strong, empathetic relationships with learners.
- Deliver personalized career coaching, including resume and LinkedIn profile feedback, interview preparation, and job search strategy.
- Monitor learner progress using internal systems and quantitative/qualitative data to proactively intervene and support success.
- Facilitate job sourcing and connect learners with entry-level opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align coaching approaches with program goals and learner needs.
