Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years in engineering leadership, including managing managers and leading multiple teams.
- Proven experience architecting systems that support AI features including LLMs, RAG, and tool calling.
- Track record of driving AI-assisted development (AI SDLC) across engineering teams.
- Executive-level track record of leading monolith-to-modular migrations in high-traffic, business-critical environments.
- Deep understanding of Application Security principles.
- Technical expertise in Identity and Access Management including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
- Strong technical fluency in Python and FastAPI ecosystems.
- Ability to guide Staff-level engineers through complex architectural decisions.
- Exceptional executive communication skills to translate technical trade-offs into business value.
Responsibilities
- Direct the multi-year technical strategy to decouple a legacy Python/Jinja monolith into a modular FastAPI architecture using Domain-Driven Design.
- Drive the adoption of AI-assisted coding tools and AI-augmented workflows across the engineering organization.
- Guide the development of internal SDKs, data pipelines, and tools that enable product teams to integrate LLMs.
- Champion a 'shift-left' security culture by embedding vulnerability scanning and threat modeling into developer workflows.
- Manage and scale shared enterprise services including Identity (AuthN/AuthZ, OAuth2, RBAC), Audit Logs, and API/MCP Gateways.
- Collaborate with Product and DevOps leadership to negotiate refactoring timelines and align platform capabilities with infrastructure.
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a team of engineering managers and staff/principal engineers.
