Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent education/work experience.
- Typically 5+ years of experience in a professional technical environment.
- 4 years of professional software design and development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Appian low-code platform (application development, process modeling).
- Experience integrating Appian with external systems and services (APIs, data sources).
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to teach and mentor other software engineers.
- General knowledge of Python, YAML, JSON, Azure DevOps, and Git source control is preferred.
- General knowledge of software development lifecycle (Agile/Lean or Kanban preferred).
- Familiarity with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Classic ASP, VB Script, Entity Framework, WPF, JavaScript, IIS, HTML, CSS, XML/XSLT, MSMQ, NServiceBus, Visual Studio, or Team Foundation Server.
Responsibilities
- Develop flexible, maintainable solutions using established guidelines and standard practices.
- Solve development problems through design and practical experience.
- Review, modify, enhance, and maintain existing systems by fixing issues and remediating security vulnerabilities.
- Participate in planning and user story analysis by providing feedback on requirements.
- Assist in solving business problems by implementing technical solutions based on design principles.
- Follow software development processes, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Keep up to date with technology tools and industry standards.
- Mentor and teach other software engineers.
