Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience in high-concurrency, distributed environments.
- Proficiency in modern backend languages such as Go or Python (or Java, Kotlin, Rust, C++).
- Expertise in designing and maintaining scalable APIs using GraphQL, REST, or gRPC.
- Experience with high-throughput caching layers and distributed datastores like Redis, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL.
- Ability to work with data analysis tools such as BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase.
- Strong product-oriented mindset with experience in user growth and feature impact analysis.
- Track record of driving cross-functional alignment in remote or hybrid environments.
- Self-directed approach to navigating ambiguity with a bias for action.
- Interest in utilizing AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development workflows.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management, Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers to translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Own the full software lifecycle from technical design documentation and API contracts to rollout and observability.
- Design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments to analyze user behavior and performance metrics.
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and distributed backend services optimized for performance.
- Establish engineering best practices and mentor teammates to improve developer workflows.
