Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a clinical research or healthcare setting.
- Strong background in accounting and financial reconciliations.
- Proficiency in NetSuite.
- Proficiency in Office 365 products.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong problem solving, risk assessment, and impact analysis abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and influence others effectively.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, assist, and review monthly closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support the tracking of project budgets and expenditures for audits and tax compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers and clinical staff to gather and analyze project financial data.
- Develop and recommend improvements to financial management systems and accounting procedures.
- Review and reconcile accounts payable month-end entries to ensure GAAP compliance.
- Analyze, monitor, and account for invoices requiring accrual at fiscal period-end.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial transaction records.
- Participate in financial, statement, and compliance audits.
- Provide feedback on financial decisions beneficial to the organization.
