Requirements

  • Experience leading product for backend services and distributed systems, ideally platform-based products
  • Banking or financial services industry experience, credit decisioning or lending a strong plus
  • Experience leading scrum teams, including backlog ownership and sprint ceremonies
  • Working understanding of AWS and how it shapes product and technical decisions
  • Some exposure to front end product work is a plus
  • Engineering background preferred, but comfort going deep on technical detail is important
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business, risk, and engineering teams
  • Clear communicator who is collaborative, curious, and comfortable in ambiguity
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (3 years of specialized training/work experience per missing year of college)

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap for credit decisioning, fulfillment, and acquisitions capabilities
  • Define requirements for backend services and distributed systems that support Personal Loans origination
  • Partner with engineering to design platform-based products that scale across multiple use cases
  • Lead scrum teams through planning, backlog management, and delivery ceremonies
  • Translate banking and lending requirements into clear, actionable product specs
  • Work with credit, risk, and compliance stakeholders to align on decisioning logic and business rules
  • Prioritize a backlog that balances new acquisition capabilities with platform reliability and scale
  • Make data-informed tradeoffs on what ships now versus what gets sequenced for later
  • Communicate roadmap, progress, and decisions clearly to stakeholders and leadership
