Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience, preferably with Ruby on Rails or Go.
- 2+ years of experience in technical leadership or acting as a technical reference.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with modern infrastructure, particularly Kubernetes and AWS.
- Solid knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Datadog or Grafana.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Sidekiq, SQS, or Kafka.
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks (e.g., RSpec).
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles and Design Patterns.
- Proven experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with Git and Linux.
- Familiarity with LLM integrations or AI frameworks.
- Sufficient frontend knowledge to review architectural decisions and integrations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve core product capabilities using Ruby on Rails or Go.
- Design integration architectures, making key decisions on technology stacks and patterns.
- Serve as technical reference and mentor for backend and frontend engineers.
- Establish engineering standards covering clean code, testing, documentation, and observability.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to develop viable, scalable technical solutions.
- Support production operations following a 'you build it, you run it' approach.
- Contribute to AI-powered solutions and internal engineering processes.
