Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong backend expertise in JVM technologies.
- At least 2 years of engineering leadership experience with people-management responsibilities.
- Strong experience designing and operating production microservices using Kubernetes and AWS.
- Practical experience managing observability practices, SLOs, and on-call rotations.
- Strong SQL skills and analytical data modeling capabilities.
- Experience building RESTful, service-oriented architectures for external customers.
- Working knowledge of frontend technologies like React and TypeScript for team guidance.
- Experience with application modernization and legacy system migration.
- Kotlin, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL proficiency.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of six engineers across backend, frontend, and QA.
- Own the development and evolution of customer-facing data APIs and microservices.
- Oversee customer reporting solutions and associated data models.
- Establish technical ownership for team services including deployment, observability, and on-call rotations.
- Drive backend modernization toward Kotlin and Spring Boot while migrating legacy services.
- Partner with Data Engineering to migrate pipelines into a broader platform.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and UX Research to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Guide architectural decisions and remain hands-on with 20–30% of time in technical tasks.
- Shape analytics through AI-assisted insights and AI-agent integrations.
