Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Strong experience with data engineering practices including profiling, cleansing, and transformation.
- Proven experience designing data models using dimensional modeling, star schema, Data Vault, and Kimball.
- Advanced SQL and Python skills.
- Hands-on experience with pipeline orchestration (Databricks Workflows, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow).
- Deep expertise with Databricks Lakehouse Platform (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL).
- Extensive working knowledge of AWS services (S3, EMR, EKS, Glue, Redshift, Lambda).
- Experience building dashboards using Databricks SQL and/or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and GDPR.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop data engineers.
- Proactive use of generative AI tools for technical workflows.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise data architecture strategies covering acquisition, recovery, and integration.
- Design scalable, secure data models and flows across AWS and the Databricks Lakehouse ecosystem.
- Establish data governance frameworks covering quality, compliance, and metadata standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and technical team members.
- Communicate architectural strategies and decisions to diverse stakeholders.
- Supervise work delivered by contractors and third-party resources.
- Evaluate and recommend AWS-native and Databricks-capable technologies.
- Utilize generative AI tools for code generation and documentation to improve delivery efficiency.
- Lead large-scale data architecture initiatives and digital transformations.
