Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of related consulting or IT services delivery experience.
  • Previous leadership experience within consulting, managed services, or IT services delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing mainframe environments, including IBM CICS, DB2, MQ, IDMS, and related technologies.
  • Understanding of mainframe capacity planning, performance tuning, workload automation, and service optimization.
  • Experience with ITIL principles and process management or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, build consensus, and drive accountability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex workloads in a changing business environment.
  • Experience working with vendors, business partners, and technology providers.
  • Analytical skills for interpreting statistical information and developing forecasts.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a Managed Services Engineering team to meet service, operational, and business targets.
  • Act as product owner for assigned managed services and technology areas.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including product development, sales, and professional services.
  • Manage customer relationships, business reviews, and service escalations.
  • Monitor performance metrics to identify trends and drive continuous service improvements.
  • Recruit, develop, and coach high-performing engineering teams.
  • Oversee operational processes including problem, change, and work-order management.
  • Manage budgets, resource planning, and operational costs for assigned services.
