Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, preferably in tech or marketplace environments.
- Experience working with non-deterministic system outputs like LLM applications, conversational agents, or recommendation systems.
- Expertise in statistical thinking and experiment design (e.g., power/sample size, sequential designs).
- Proven track record of taking impactful work into production and maintaining it.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with cloud ML solutions.
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience with LLM production applications.
- Preferred: Experience with voice/telephony systems.
- Preferred: Experience with workflow orchestration for long-running processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead improvements to agent behavior through conversation design, prompting, and campaign logic to impact contact, engagement, and appointment rates.
- Build evaluation systems for agent quality, including automated checks, simulations, and model-based evaluation.
- Establish experiment design practices to decide what ships to production.
- Analyze customer conversations to identify failure modes and prioritize improvements.
- Develop and deploy predictive models for qualification, appointment quality, and engagement in production environments.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers on end-to-end development.
- Mentor junior team members and foster technical excellence.
