Requirements
- At least five (5) years of experience in the medical communications industry.
- Expert level knowledge regarding activities in medical publication accounts and medical communications tactics.
- Demonstrated understanding of market dynamics, scientific information, and clinical/preclinical data (preferred).
- BS or BA degree in business, life sciences, communications or a related discipline.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.
- Ability to provide management direction and developmental support to direct reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Effective leadership skills with a focus on account services and business processes.
- Strong diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Expert verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as necessary (<10%).
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and manage account teams to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Lead strategic publication and medical communication planning initiatives.
- Develop project proposals and budgets while monitoring revenue generation and business metrics.
- Manage the financial aspects of client relationships including contracts, forecasting, and reporting.
- Mentor, train, and coach team members and manage 1-2 direct reports.
- Identify and nurture new business opportunities while selling Citrus expertise.
- Travel for client meetings and events as needed.
