Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of emergency procurement, sourcing, contracting, vendor management, and supply chain risk management.
- Expertise in transport, warehouse management, inventory control, quality assurance, and distribution logistics.
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliverables across countries.
- Proven experience in facilitating partner-led processes and building sustainable ownership of systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate assessments into prioritized actions.
- Willingness and ability to travel within South America as operationally required.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional leadership teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the multiple modality supply chain set up process in all five target countries in close coordination with partner supply chain teams.
- Execute priority focuses: updated specifications, strategic sourcing, prepositioned stocks, open contracts, and continuous improvement.
- Support programming team with market and logistics analysis, hotspot prioritization, and development of a workplan.
- Map, assess, and conduct due diligence on suppliers, transporters, warehouse providers, and cash/voucher service providers.
- Develop and maintain vendor databases and prequalified vendor lists organized by country, hotspot, and commodity group.
- Assess partner supply chain processes including procurement, warehousing, inventory management, transport, and distribution.
- Design and facilitate coaching, working sessions, simulations, or readiness tests for partner staff.
- Consolidate and hand over the final supply chain readiness package including tools, databases, and maintenance recommendations.
