Requirements
- 3+ years of copywriting experience, ideally within fintech, insurtech, automotive, or consumer tech.
- Active Reddit user with a deep library of work demonstrating ability to write for the platform.
- Deep understanding of Reddit post formatting, sub-culture nuances, and community engagement.
- Proven ability to translate complex or technical financial and automotive topics into clear, useful, and compelling prose.
- Strong focus on informative, high-value writing that builds long-term brand equity.
- Ability to write hooky titles and engageable copy structure.
- Resilience to feedback from both internal teams and public comments.
- Experience adapting broader company insights into platform-native content.
Responsibilities
- Create genuinely helpful and entertaining content for relevant subreddits such as r/carinsurancehelp, r/mechanicadvice, r/idiotsincars, and r/frugal as well as Jerry's own subreddits.
- Craft long-form and short-form copy that bypasses corporate fluff, using tone, formatting, and structure that feels native, authentic, and upvote-worthy.
- Draft real-time, high-context replies to community comments and inquiries, balancing helpful expertise with a grounded, conversational voice.
- Test different narrative hooks, post structures (TL;DRs, bulleted breakdowns, case studies), and post timings to maximize organic reach and community trust.
- Write comprehensive, search-optimized Reddit copy designed to index well on Google search and serve as cited reference material for AI models.
- Work alongside the Content, SEO, and Product teams to adapt broader company insights into Reddit-first copy without losing brand accuracy.
