Requirements
- 4+ years of experience leading scientific or technical projects.
- Demonstrated ownership of milestones, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional execution.
- Experience managing projects in a scientific, engineering, or product-validation environment.
- Working knowledge of algorithm development practices.
- Working knowledge of hardware build-and-test cycles.
- Ability to spot readiness gaps across testing and validation cycles.
- Experience working with international, distributed teams.
- Strong attention to detail and experience creating documentation like decision logs and risk registers.
- Technical degree, or equivalent experience demonstrating technical fluency.
Responsibilities
- Own integrated project plans for R&D efforts including timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decision paths.
- Partner with scientists, technical and program managers, and functional leaders to translate sensing needs into clear requirements and interfaces.
- Coordinate hand-offs across teams and negotiate realistic commitments.
- Apply knowledge of algorithm development and hardware cycles to identify readiness gaps and define actionable requirements.
- Surface risks early and drive decisions to closure across R&D initiatives.
- Maintain ownership and change tracking for protocols, specifications, and readiness criteria.
- Contribute to improving project management processes within the Science team.
