Requirements
- Production experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, ECR, and IAM.
- Strong experience with Docker/containerization including hardening configurations.
- CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance expertise (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Experience managing vulnerability scanning, patch management, and remediation.
- Solid understanding of network and application security (TLS, firewalls, IAM).
- Operational production experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration and shell scripting.
- Proven incident response experience and ability to lead through active issues.
- Independent work capability in a high-ownership startup environment.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting runbooks and postmortems.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions + OIDC) across services.
- Manage and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS including EC2, S3, ECR, and IAM.
- Own containerized deployments with Docker/Docker Compose and manage TLS/reverse proxies.
- Improve system observability through logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
- Support database operations for PostgreSQL and Redis, including backups and tuning.
- Own vulnerability management including scanning, patching, and remediation.
- Enforce least-privilege access control and monitor security for threats.
- Lead incident response, develop runbooks, and drive postmortems.
- Perform security reviews of infrastructure and deployment changes.
- Support compliance and audit readiness in a financial services environment.
