Requirements
- At least five years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, order management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence interpreting sales data.
- A structured, consistent approach to managing multiple suppliers and deadlines.
- Excellent follow-through and proactive communication.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
- An easygoing, professional manner and high standards of accountability.
- Availability for South African daytime hours and some evening work.
- A reliable computer, internet connection, and suitable remote working setup.
- Comfort working with Google Workspace.
Responsibilities
- Analyse sales data and market trends to support purchasing decisions.
- Plan and place supplier orders in line with business requirements.
- Manage ongoing communication with approximately 10–20 vendors each month.
- Track order progress, supplier commitments, and delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate warehouse preparation and readiness for onward fulfilment.
- Liaise with Amazon on relevant order and fulfilment matters.
- Identify delays or discrepancies early and coordinate their resolution.
- Maintain accurate records and keep colleagues informed of progress, risks, and next steps.
