Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years hands-on experience architecting high-integrity transactional systems (banking core, payments ledger, exchange, or settlement infrastructure).
- Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, exactly-once processing semantics, idempotency, and reconciliation at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and multi-region deployment.
- Track record designing immutable transaction logs, reconciliation controls, and automated evidence generation for auditors.
- Ability to produce system architecture documentation suitable for intense regulatory and audit scrutiny.
- Proven success in technical mentorship and setting architectural standards.
- Experience working in a regulated or audited environment preferred.
- Experience with stablecoin, digital asset custody, or blockchain settlement systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with FFIEC IT examination or SOC 2 audit environments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build the bank's core backend, including microservices, transactional persistence schemas, event messaging endpoints, and internal APIs.
- Design the reconciliation architecture ensuring consistency between fiat subledgers, reserve accounts, and on-chain token supply.
- Build the event messaging layer synchronizing ledger transactions with custody platform mint/burn actions.
- Serve as technical lead and mentor for the Core Backend team while establishing standards for code reviews, testing, observability, and deployment.
- Integrate automated sanctions screening connectors with auditable screening and case escalation hooks.
- Partner with SRE and Security teams on multi-region availability, failover targets, IAM, and threat modeling for mint/burn pipelines.
- Support UAT, feature freezes, and external control validation for regulatory examinations.
