Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience or equivalent.
- Expertise in video and audio live streaming technologies.
- Proficiency in back-end languages including Go, Typescript, and Ruby.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation/CDK.
- Experience with virtualization/containerization technologies including Docker.
- Experience with AWS technologies (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda).
- Experience with AWS networking (ALB/NLB, VPC, security groups, CloudFront).
- Experience with monitoring/alerting/telemetry (Datadog, InfluxDB, Grafana, Opensearch).
- Experience with SaaS integration using APIs, webhooks, and logging.
- Experience with SQL and MySQL databases.
- Availability to participate in on-call rotations on Sunday mornings and during other peaks.
- A desire to solve complex problems at scale.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain back-end systems and microservices.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems during peak volume.
- Resolve deprecations and outages, including participation in an on-call rotation for critical Sunday morning peaks.
- Integrate internal systems with SaaS applications like Stripe, Hubspot, and Datadog.
- Research and assess the potential benefits of emerging cloud and AI technologies.
- Participate in planning, status, and review meetings to deliver project value.
- Mentor colleagues and learn from team members.
- Collaborate with product designers, hardware engineers, and business leaders.
