Requirements
- Multiple years building and operating production backend or infrastructure systems.
- Clear track record of staff-level ownership and technical leadership.
- Strong Go experience, or deep backend systems experience with the ability to ramp quickly in Go.
- Experience owning highly technical platforms or backend infrastructure that supports multiple products.
- Experience with high-throughput, event-driven pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software supply chain security, malware detection, or vulnerability management.
- Demonstrated success making engineering design and prioritization decisions in complex environments.
- Experience deploying and operating services in production with focus on reliability and observability.
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising the bar on design and code review.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Build the measurement pipelines, metrics, and dashboards to steer detection quality and precision.
- Engineer the feedback loop between Engineering and Product Security for rapid detection changes.
- Develop systems for reviewing, escalating, and correcting detections at ecosystem scale.
- Own the architecture of the shared malware scanning platform including orchestration, storage, and internal APIs.
- Scale the scanner across multiple artifact types like Libraries, Containers, and Agent Skills.
- Build and scale static analysis and AI-assisted reasoning over artifact contents.
- Operate the scanner system with responsibility for queue health, incident response, and verdict-before-serve guarantees.
