Requirements
- 8+ years of cloud engineering and architecture experience.
- Deep, intimate knowledge of Microsoft Azure monitoring, automation, and platform services.
- Proven experience designing cloud solutions and validating approaches through time-boxed spikes.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Ability to break down complex, ambiguous work into scoped, delegable pieces.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional and account teams.
- Working knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL.
- Experience with multi-tenant/managed service provider (MSP) environments preferred.
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks, including Microsoft Sentinel.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps.
- Relevant Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and architecture for shared, multi-tenant technology platforms.
- Design and validate Azure-based solutions.
- Decompose complex initiatives into scoped work for independent team execution.
- Partner with business and account stakeholders to align solutions with client and operational needs.
- Strengthen platform reliability, security, and scalability.
- Mentor engineers on Azure architecture best practices.
- Establish reusable architectural patterns to improve team velocity and delivery quality.
