Requirements
- 4+ years of development experience with a track record of shipping value to customers.
- Experience driving software delivery on complex and challenging technology projects.
- Depth of knowledge in linear optimization modeling and solvers.
- Experience with application stacks built on machine learning or generative AI.
- Proficiency in backend API and asynchronous task development.
- Ability to contribute to frontend engineering, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering.
- Demonstrated record of learning and contributing to complex product requirements quickly.
- Proficiency in developing scalable web applications and implementing unit/integration tests.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment with a strong sense of ownership.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product to surface and refine improvements in the optimizer’s core algorithm, model-builders, and the full-stack job orchestration framework.
- Research, recommend, and implement extensions to the core optimization technology using generative AI and machine learning.
- Lead major projects and initiatives while supporting the squad in meeting goals.
- Provide technical leadership over key areas of the stack and facilitate effective delivery.
- Troubleshoot customer issues and perform limited on-call responsibilities.
- Mentor and support junior engineers to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
