Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in general management, business management, or P&L-focused roles.
- Proven track record of driving organic growth, margin expansion, and overall business performance.
- Experience developing product portfolio strategies, multi-year product roadmaps, and new product introduction.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen including pricing, go-to-market strategy, and business planning.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional organizations and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking, execution discipline, and analytical capability.
- Experience in K-12 education, campus safety, critical communications, or security technology is preferred.
- Understanding of software-enabled solutions, connected technologies, or IoT-based systems is preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40%.
Responsibilities
- Own the Education business strategy and operating plan with accountability for orders, revenue, gross margin, and operating profit.
- Develop and execute long-term growth strategies covering market expansion, customer acquisition, and portfolio development.
- Lead multi-year business and product roadmap development, balancing customer needs, market opportunities, and financial objectives.
- Act as a senior voice of the customer, strengthening relationships with school districts, consultants, and systems integrators.
- Lead commercial strategy including pricing, go-to-market planning, demand generation, and market penetration.
- Own product portfolio strategy, lifecycle management, and investment decisions for new product development.
- Partner with Engineering, Finance, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure effective delivery and portfolio performance.
- Build and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
