Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in data engineering, log management, observability, or analytics engineering.
- Hands-on experience with at least one data pipeline, analytics, log-management, or observability platform.
- Experience onboarding data sources and troubleshooting ingestion and processing issues.
- Experience with structured and unstructured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV, key-value, syslog, CEF).
- Understanding of APIs, authentication, service accounts, and network connectivity.
- Basic scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with SQL or platform-specific query/transformation languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
- Up to 10% travel required.
Responsibilities
- Configure and support data ingestion from applications, infrastructure, cloud services, and security tools using APIs, webhooks, syslog, and other methods.
- Develop and maintain pipelines that collect, route, filter, enrich, transform, and deliver data.
- Implement parsing, schema mapping, and normalization for structured and unstructured data.
- Validate data completeness, consistency, and timeliness while troubleshooting delivery issues.
- Document source inventories, data flows, and dependencies via architecture assessments.
- Collaborate with SecOps engineers to support SIEM, detection, and automation requirements.
