Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience working in the ecommerce and shipping industry.
  • 2+ years of experience working with cross-border shipments.
  • Broad knowledge of ocean and air consolidation, small parcel cross-border requirements, and LTL/Truckload requirements.
  • Understanding of intra-Europe trade border requirements (e.g., EU to GB, NO, CH).
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent data analysis skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Project Management/Engineering.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
  • Flexibility to shift working hours to support international operations (Europe, Asia, Australia).
  • Licensed Customs Broker is a plus.
  • PowerBI and SQL experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage carrier relationships and partnerships across all cross-border modes for inbound and outbound freight.
  • Establish and manage carrier performance tracking and improvement initiatives, including quarterly reviews.
  • Onboard new carriers and lanes, including negotiating rates, developing SOPs, and ensuring integration requirements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for cross-border compliance, regulations, and best practices (USMCA, IOSS).
  • Identify bottlenecks in carrier package flows and collaborate with teams to improve service levels.
  • Manage carrier analysts responsible for executing day-to-day operations like resolving missed pickups or capacity issues.
  • Partner with internal technical teams to resolve shipment creation and tendering process gaps.
  • Support Cross border sales leadership and the Fulfillment Network Partner Development team to expand cross-border trade.
