Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience working in the ecommerce and shipping industry.
- 2+ years of experience working with cross-border shipments.
- Broad knowledge of ocean and air consolidation, small parcel cross-border requirements, and LTL/Truckload requirements.
- Understanding of intra-Europe trade border requirements (e.g., EU to GB, NO, CH).
- Project management experience.
- Excellent data analysis skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Project Management/Engineering.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
- Flexibility to shift working hours to support international operations (Europe, Asia, Australia).
- Licensed Customs Broker is a plus.
- PowerBI and SQL experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage carrier relationships and partnerships across all cross-border modes for inbound and outbound freight.
- Establish and manage carrier performance tracking and improvement initiatives, including quarterly reviews.
- Onboard new carriers and lanes, including negotiating rates, developing SOPs, and ensuring integration requirements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for cross-border compliance, regulations, and best practices (USMCA, IOSS).
- Identify bottlenecks in carrier package flows and collaborate with teams to improve service levels.
- Manage carrier analysts responsible for executing day-to-day operations like resolving missed pickups or capacity issues.
- Partner with internal technical teams to resolve shipment creation and tendering process gaps.
- Support Cross border sales leadership and the Fulfillment Network Partner Development team to expand cross-border trade.
