Requirements
- 5–7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare sales, payer contracting, network development, or managed care.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing complex value-based care, shared savings, or pay-for-performance agreements.
- Deep understanding of alternative payment models and operating models for Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial payers.
- Ability to build and interpret complex pricing and ROI models.
- Executive presence with confidence engaging C-suite decision-makers at health plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating clinical outcomes into business narratives.
- Strategic thinker capable of autonomous work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience selling to or negotiating with payers in behavioral health, substance use disorder, or digital health.
- Established relationships with senior contacts at regional or national health plans.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards for value-based care and telehealth.
Responsibilities
- Lead payer growth initiatives from prospecting through contracting and partnership handoff.
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle for new payer partnerships, including discovery, negotiation, and execution.
- Transition existing fee-for-service partners toward value-based care, risk-sharing, and performance-based models.
- Develop and present data-driven value propositions tailored to the needs of individual health plans.
- Manage the complete contracting lifecycle, including redlining and contract terms.
- Maintain a payer prospect pipeline using CRM tools to forecast revenue.
- Research regional payer markets and competitive positioning to inform internal product and clinical strategy.
