Requirements

- 5+ years managing and developing software engineers.
- Proven experience leading teams responsible for customer-installed applications, virtual appliances, or gateways.
- Experience building or managing software that securely connects customer environments with cloud-based SaaS.
- Strong technical understanding of Linux, virtualization, and containerization.
- Ability to contribute effectively to architecture and design discussions.
- Experience managing the lifecycle of customer-deployed software, including distribution, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
- Success implementing and improving Agile/Scrum practices.
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and supporting professional development.
- Strong planning, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Familiarity with modern AI and LLM tools and agentic workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Must be based in India with substantial daily overlap with U.S. working hours.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of software engineers.
- Manage engineering execution, delivery reporting, risk communication, and team staffing.
- Partner with Product Management to shape roadmap priorities and stabilization initiatives.
- Establish and improve a predictable two-week Scrum cadence.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of customer-deployed software, including installation, patching, diagnostics, and incident response.
- Guide architectural decisions across Linux, virtualization, and containerization.
- Coordinate with security, support, and release engineering to resolve operational risks.
- Introduce AI- and LLM-assisted workflows to improve engineering quality and efficiency.
- Develop multi-quarter technical strategies for platform modernization and scalability.
