Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, carrier sales, or a related industry.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to identify mutually beneficial solutions.
- High energy, resilience, and a proactive approach to sales and business development.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and secure qualified carriers to transport customer freight while supporting competitive pricing and service requirements.
- Develop new carrier relationships through lead generation, cold calling, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trucking company contacts, including owner-operators, dispatchers, and drivers.
- Help price and quote open-deck freight loads based on capacity, market conditions, and customer requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with carriers to secure additional truck capacity and manage existing business relationships.
- Use transportation technology platforms, operational data, and available resources to inform decisions and negotiate effectively.
- Identify shipment, capacity, pricing, or service issues and collaborate with internal teams to implement solutions.
- Ensure shipment information, requirements, and updates are communicated accurately and recorded in internal systems.
- Track shipments and follow up consistently to ensure reliable execution.
