Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in a patient-facing administrative, healthcare, customer service, or operations role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow issues through to resolution.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to work independently in an asynchronous environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using diverse technological tools; prior experience with EHR systems is strongly preferred.
- Comfort using and critically reviewing content from LLM-based message systems and AI-based tooling.
- Ability to work toward defined service, productivity, and quality metrics.
- Experience with health insurance plans, benefits verification, and/or prior authorizations preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Slack.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Willingness to participate in a holiday work rotation.
Responsibilities
- Provide empathetic, high-touch support to patients by answering non-clinical questions and helping them navigate their care experience.
- Support providers with non-clinical administrative tasks in the Care Center EHR system, such as triaging and resolving messages.
- Investigate complex patient situations by working with clinical, pharmacy, and insurance teams to provide clear action steps.
- Assist with non-clinical prescription needs, including benefits verification and prior authorizations.
- Surface recurring patient or workflow issues to team leads to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in pilots and initiatives to optimize patient support and retention.
