Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, specifically owning data platform strategies and reporting/analytics solutions.
- Strong familiarity with PK-12 data domains, ideally Ed-Fi standards including SIS, Assessment, SPED, MTSS, Instruction, HR, and Finance.
- Proven ability to define measurable success criteria for analytics beyond just delivery, focusing on adoption, accuracy, and impact.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills for managing concurrent projects and requests.
- Ability to assess user contexts and define requirements for data quality, timeliness, and accuracy.
- Experience with SaaS product management.
- Demonstrated sound judgment in the ethical and secure use of AI technologies.
- BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field preferred.
- CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or equivalent certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Translate high-level company vision and strategy into actionable product plans with the Product Director.
- Partner with customers to identify needs, document requirements as epics, and work with Engineering and UX to define features and stories.
- Serve as the customer advocate throughout the development process.
- Validate that solutions deliver meaningful impact and coordinate with marketing, support, and training for releases.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing and feedback demonstrations to maximize customer value.
- Act as a product SME for sales and marketing and represent the platform at external user groups and conferences.
- Facilitate team retrospectives and process improvements to drive efficiency.
- Apply an AI-first mindset to automate routine tasks and enhance productivity.
