Requirements

  • Significant experience building or improving a recruiting function, sourcing model, or talent pipeline from a fragmented or reactive state.
  • Proven track record of recruiting hard-to-find, credentialed, or specialized talent in genuinely scarce markets.
  • Ability to develop and articulate a compelling employer brand and differentiated employee value proposition.
  • Proficiency with recruiting technology, AI, CRM, and communication tools for talent segmentation and relationship management.
  • Strong partnership skills to work effectively with local hospital leaders, doctors, and HR teams without imposing a one-size-fits-all process.
  • Market-informed mindset with the ability to use data to guide competitive hiring decisions across different specialties and geographies.
  • Demonstrated balance of urgency and judgment, prioritizing candidate experience and practice fit.
  • Willingness to travel regularly as a component of the role.
  • Relevant background in veterinary medicine, specialty care, or emergency medicine is highly valued.
  • Experience building pipelines for specialized professionals such as physicians, dentists, or allied health professionals is highly relevant.

Responsibilities

  • Build a consistent approach to sourcing, candidate experience, recruiting technology, and employer brand across the network.
  • Strengthen relationships with veterinary schools, technician programs, residencies, and professional communities to build pipelines ahead of need.
  • Develop compensation benchmarks and market insights to assist leaders in making competitive, localized hiring decisions.
  • Establish a thoughtful external presence at professional conferences, schools, and industry events to cultivate long-term talent communities.
  • Partner closely with hospital leaders and local HR teams to integrate a shared recruiting capability while preserving local practice identity.
  • Manage recruiting technology, AI, and CRM tools to segment talent communities and maintain candidate relationships.
