Requirements
- Board-certified physician.
- At least 3 years post-residency experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care.
- Adept at learning and utilizing electronic health data and medical record systems.
- Experience with video, telephonic, and AI platforms.
- Eagerness to advocate for care equity and accessibility.
- Comfortable working in a building-phase startup environment.
- Telehealth experience is preferred.
- Multi-state licensure preferred or willingness to obtain additional licenses.
- Experience in acute care settings (Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or hospital medicine) is desired.
- Experience caring for older adults is desired.
- Experience with population health or value-based care programs is desired.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct care in virtual urgent care and observation unit (80% of time).
- Provide clinical supervision and teaching to a team of advanced practice providers (20% of time).
- Lead clinical rounds and offer guidance on challenging clinical scenarios.
- Promote a collaborative, team-based clinical environment.
- Leverage video telehealth to manage urgent care complaints and keep patients safely at home.
- Manage patients in the virtual observation unit, including acute-on-chronic exacerbation management.
- Perform in-depth medication reviews and deprescribing.
- Connect patients with primary care, chronic disease management, and palliative care programs.
