Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Must have active medical license in the state of California.
- Active board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Obesity Medicine, or a related specialty.
- Experience treating cardiometabolic conditions including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obesity.
- Strong communication skills and ability to deliver care virtually.
- Prior telemedicine experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct synchronous telehealth consultations with patients as scheduled by 9amHealth for cardiometabolic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidemia).
- Perform medical assessments appropriate to the encounter, review patient histories, and address patient concerns within the scope of the appointment.
- Provide medical recommendations, prescriptions, or referrals as appropriate, consistent with state medical licensure and applicable standards of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters in 9amHealth’s electronic health record system, limited to information generated during the synchronous visit.
