Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or automation engineering.
- 3+ years of experience directly managing engineers.
- Experience managing a globally distributed engineering team across multiple time zones, including India.
- Hands-on experience with workflow automation and orchestration tooling such as Selenium or Workato.
- Experience building integrations across enterprise systems.
- Track record of setting technical direction and a shared roadmap for a team.
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript with the ability to review pull requests and evaluate architecture.
- Understanding of CI/CD, TDD, and GitHub best practices.
- Experience with ITSM and ticketing platforms like Zendesk or Jira (preferred).
- Experience building automations on top of SaaS and identity tools such as Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian, and Slack (preferred).
- Familiarity with corporate security and compliance programs like SOX, FedRAMP, GDPR, or CCPA (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Own integrations, automation, and AI-native workflows across Core IT, including orchestration tooling and agentic workflows.
- Build and maintain automation that supports internal service, identity, and other functions to eliminate manual toil.
- Evaluate and adopt new automation and AI tooling as it matures.
- Manage and grow a team of engineers across the US and India.
- Set technical direction and a shared roadmap, unifying disparate reporting lines under a single engineering strategy.
- Establish operational rhythms, such as overlap hours and handoffs, for a globally distributed team.
- Partner with ServiceOps and Business Operations leadership to identify opportunities for automation.
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and the automation team to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
