Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in distributed systems, databases, or developer platforms.
- 3+ years of hands-on software development experience (writing or architecting production applications).
- Proven ability to improve execution, release quality, and operational rigor for mature products.
- Technical background in client-side application architecture (mobile, desktop, or web).
- Practical understanding of distributed systems (high availability, disaster recovery, security).
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Working knowledge of edge computing and on-device AI inference concepts.
- Experience using AI tools in the product management process.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive stakeholders.
- Fluency in agile development processes and tools like JIRA.
Responsibilities
- Turn product strategy for the Couchbase Mobile portfolio into a detailed, well-sequenced roadmap and drive it through to shipped, adopted product.
- Own end-to-end execution, including writing technical requirements, partnering with engineering/design, and participating in agile ceremonies.
- Improve operational excellence by tightening release quality and closing documentation or developer experience gaps.
- Shape and execute the strategy for supporting on-device and edge AI use cases.
- Work directly with customers to validate use cases and drive functional requirements.
- Act as the primary product owner for customer escalations and unblock accounts by driving technical fixes.
- Lead technical evangelism through talks, webinars, and internal training for sales and marketing.
