Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- 4+ years in engineering management roles with active coding responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience building cloud-based SaaS products.
- Experience running services in production for Microsoft Azure.
- Strong background in FinOps.
- Experience with API-first design and development.
- Management experience with multi-disciplinary teams including full-stack and data engineers.
- Proven track record of improving delivery velocity and technical quality.
- Ability to write, read, and review code at a senior level.
- Experience with Golang (preferred).
- Experience with AI-augmented workflows (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers, owning both its delivery and its development.
- Develop engineers through regular 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and direct feedback.
- Write and review code to maintain architectural influence and technical credibility.
- Drive architectural and technical design decisions in partnership with senior individual contributors.
- Partner with the Technical Product Owner and Product team on roadmap scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
- Own team commitments, including delivery timelines and quality standards.
- Operate as a role model for other engineering managers, mentor peers, and manage hiring for the team.
