Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or backend engineering in production environments.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating infrastructure in at least one cloud provider, ideally Google Cloud Platform.
- Proven track record of shipping automation, pipelines, or infrastructure that improved team productivity.
- Deep experience with infrastructure-as-code, specifically Terraform.
- Strong proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions.
- Proficient software engineering ability and strong command of Linux.
- Strong instincts for monitoring and observability with experience debugging logs, traces, and metrics.
- Solid experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with containerized workloads.
- Strong grounding in reliability, performance, and security fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions to ensure fast, safe, and repeatable deployments.
- Identify and eliminate operational toil by building scalable automation and tooling.
- Establish monitoring, dashboards, and alerting in Datadog while driving down alert noise.
- Lead incident response rotations and conduct postmortems to improve system uptime.
- Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for infrastructure and build systems.
- Partner with product teams to remove friction in deployment and build processes.
- Manage preview and staging environments with reliable data routines.
- Write well-tested infrastructure code and lead design reviews and RFCs.
