Requirements
- BA in Economics, Statistics, Math, Data Analytics or other related quantitative function.
- 5+ years of client or supplier-side CPG experience (nutritional supplement experience a plus).
- Knowledge of various commercial data sources such as POS (Circana/NiQ, Spins, Stackline), Panel, Loyalty Card, Media, Price/Promotion, and Brand Health.
- Strong academic or practical experience in data analytics, data visualization, and statistical modeling.
- Ability to function in a dynamic, fluid, and time-sensitive environment.
- Ability to work in complex and ambiguous business situations.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
- Master’s degree or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience building and maintaining Category Forecasts preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as principle day-to-day consultant to Marketing & Corporate team.
- Serve as go-to subject matter expert (SME) on marketplace performance and trends; highlight in-market business performance drivers, and suggest actions to help accelerate gains/course correct declines.
- Perform Deep Dive analyses on topics of interest and prescribe actionable insights that move our business forward.
- Synthesize insights after mining data across a variety of commercial & omni-channel data sources (Consumption—POS, Panel & Loyalty, Shipments/Retail Inventory, Media, Coupons, Price/Promotion, Brand Health, etc).
- Incite action and influence organizational thinking via strong consultative and storytelling abilities.
- Collaborate with other insight functions including consumer, shopper & analytics to build organizational learning as it pertains to insights delivery.
- Identify business opportunities and market/competitive trends using secondary and primary resources and develop a compelling story with a clear “so what” for the organization.
- Prepare and develop strategic insights with strong ability to present data and information in a compelling and logical/story board approach resulting in actionable business insights.
