Requirements

  • 5+ years of asset management experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Experience in Power, Energy, Renewables, or BESS, with familiarity of industry-specific terminology.
  • Working knowledge of ERCOT and other ISO/RTO market structures.
  • Experience managing merchant energy assets and navigating regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret PPAs, LGIAs, Financing Agreements, and other project contracts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel to various locations within the United States roughly 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of utility-scale, stand-alone battery energy storage systems (BESS).
  • Monitor the performance of assets and analyze plant metrics against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve performance.
  • Manage O&M and related third party agreements to ensure compliance and develop long-term relationships.
  • Coordinate and supervise third party contractors’ planned maintenance schedules and work performance.
  • Coordinate outages and unplanned maintenance, including investigation and resolution of system issues.
  • Manage compliance contractors for adherence with NERC/ISO procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Support pre-construction engineering and development functions with review of plant designs and contract terms.
