Requirements
- 5+ years of asset management experience in the renewable energy industry
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business, or a related field
- Experience in Power, Energy, Renewables, or BESS
- Working knowledge of ERCOT and other ISO/RTO market structures
- Experience managing merchant energy assets and navigating regulatory/compliance requirements
- Ability to read and interpret PPAs, LGIAs, Financing Agreements, and other project contracts
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to travel to various locations within the United States roughly 20% of the time
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of utility-scale, stand-alone battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Monitor the performance of assets and analyze plant metrics against KPIs to improve performance
- Prepare operational budgets in collaboration with Accounting and Analytic Services
- Manage O&M and related third-party agreements to ensure service provider compliance
- Coordinate and supervise third-party contractor maintenance schedules and outages
- Conduct risk assessments and initiate preventive and corrective actions
- Support pre-construction engineering, EPC, and development functions with contract and design reviews
- Manage compliance contractors for adherence to NERC/ISO procedures and reporting requirements
