Requirements

  • 5+ years of asset management experience in the renewable energy industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business, or a related field
  • Experience in Power, Energy, Renewables, or BESS
  • Working knowledge of ERCOT and other ISO/RTO market structures
  • Experience managing merchant energy assets and navigating regulatory/compliance requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret PPAs, LGIAs, Financing Agreements, and other project contracts
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to travel to various locations within the United States roughly 20% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of utility-scale, stand-alone battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • Monitor the performance of assets and analyze plant metrics against KPIs to improve performance
  • Prepare operational budgets in collaboration with Accounting and Analytic Services
  • Manage O&M and related third-party agreements to ensure service provider compliance
  • Coordinate and supervise third-party contractor maintenance schedules and outages
  • Conduct risk assessments and initiate preventive and corrective actions
  • Support pre-construction engineering, EPC, and development functions with contract and design reviews
  • Manage compliance contractors for adherence to NERC/ISO procedures and reporting requirements
