Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence and resilience in managing unprecedented or challenging situations with a proactive approach.
- Proven experience in a people-first leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
- Must be available to work standard west coast business hours.
- Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures.
- Experience with performance management and employee relations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage FMLA, CFRA, and reasonable accommodation requests.
Responsibilities
- Act as a tactical partner to business stakeholders and mitigate legal and compliance risks by effectively investigating and addressing employee relations concerns.
- Participate in organizational design to streamline department structures, roles, and processes to support business demands.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for FMLA, CFRA, and other state-protected or personal leaves, managing tracking and return-to-work timelines.
- Manage reasonable accommodation requests and implement effective transitional work plans.
- Coach employees and management on company policies, performance management, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Leverage metrics, analytics, and employee lifecycle data to inform talent management strategies.
- Execute change management strategies to support business evolution.
- Conduct and analyze stay and exit interviews for store leadership to recommend actionable solutions.
- Lead and design specialized training programs in partnership with centers of expertise.
