Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping internal or external tools/platforms.
- Deep, hands-on familiarity with AI coding tools and agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or Codex.
- Demonstrated experience building AI-powered products, agents, or workflows, including prompt engineering and LLM integration into production.
- Strong proficiency in Python or another common programming language.
- Comfortable working across modern build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and developer infrastructure.
- Strong product instincts and judgment to scope pragmatic solutions and ensure adoption.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate with autonomy in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship custom internal tooling, agents, and workflows tailored to Waabi, supporting autonomy codebase, simulation, ML pipelines, and business automations.
- Integrate and extend third-party AI tools and coding assistants to create internal extensions.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools, models, and agent frameworks through structured pilots and technical recommendations.
- Partner with engineering, research, and business teams to prototype, co-design, and iterate on AI workflows.
- Build observability for AI tooling to track usage, adoption, cost, and quality.
- Implement guardrails for responsible AI in partnership with Security, Legal, IT, and Infrastructure teams.
- Drive internal tool adoption through documentation, enablement, and direct support.
