Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full cycle month end close ownership
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
- Hands on experience reconciling high volume transactions across multiple payment processors
- Multi entity accounting experience
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Experience with cloud accounting or ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of ownership
- Comfort operating with autonomy in a fast moving, fully remote environment
- CPA or active CPA candidate
Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year end close process and drive it to predictable, on time completion
- Reconcile complex, high volume payment flows including merchant processing fees, chargebacks, refunds, and affiliate payouts
- Maintain the general ledger across multiple legal entities and ensure intercompany activity is accurate
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Produce accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Build and document scalable accounting processes and internal controls
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support external accountants and auditors as a key internal point of contact
- Evaluate, implement, and improve accounting systems and automation
- Help hire, mentor, and lead the accounting team as the function grows
