Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
- PE license required (California PE preferred).
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in land development engineering.
- Strong experience in site development design, including grading, drainage, utility infrastructure, and roadway improvements.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination.
- Strong technical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of land development projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and public infrastructure developments.
- Prepare and oversee grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, and roadway improvement plans.
- Develop technical reports, studies, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, invoicing, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
- Serve as a primary client contact and coordinate with agencies, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership, QA/QC review, and mentorship to engineering and design staff.
- Support entitlement, permitting, and construction-phase services as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable Federal, State, County, and local design standards and regulations.
