Requirements
- 10+ years of power systems analysis experience
- 3+ years leading engineers, projects, or client engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Deep proficiency with PSS/E for load-flow and transient stability analysis
- Deep proficiency with ASPEN for short-circuit analysis
- Experience with at least one additional planning tool such as PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, or DSA Tools
- Proven experience leading stability studies, congestion analysis, cost modeling, or cluster feasibility studies
- Working knowledge of synchronous generators, motors, power electronic inverters, wind turbines, solar PV, and BESS
- Working knowledge of reliability standards, interconnection processes, substation layout, and protection and control
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver on time and within budget
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of transmission planning and interconnection study engineers
- Own client relationships and delivery of interconnection, stability, and reliability studies
- Oversee the quality of power flow, voltage stability, transient stability, and short-circuit analyses
- Conduct studies in areas such as generator and load interconnections, transmission planning, and economic analyses
- Prepare and review technical reports and ensure deliverables meet client specifications
- Manage project scope, staffing, cost, and schedule across a portfolio of concurrent engagements
- Contribute hands-on to complex or high-impact studies alongside the team
- Drive business development by shaping proposals, scoping engagements, and identifying new client opportunities
