Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Deep expertise in designing and operating scalable backend data pipelines and batch processing systems using Spark, Airflow, or similar frameworks.
- Experience defining technical plans for significant features with elegant and extensible designs.
- Strong proficiency in making significant changes in large code bases safely.
- Proven ability to proactively seek feedback and take ownership of professional growth.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team.
- Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve complex, open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product, design, and analytics stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Support operations and availability by monitoring metrics and participating in on-call efforts.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards.
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and mentorship.
