Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a data-heavy backend role.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize non-trivial analytical queries.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks, specifically Dagster or Airflow.
- Fluency in Python or an equivalent language used for data engineering.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Proven experience integrating third-party REST APIs and handling edge cases like rate limits and partial failures.
- Strong focus on data correctness, reconciliation, and building assertion checks.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools throughout the engineering workflow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-organized, goal-oriented, and tenacious work ethic.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain new integrations for third-party billing and usage APIs.
- Utilize AI tools daily across the entire engineering workflow, including coding, debugging, and testing.
- Ensure data correctness, completeness, and deduplication for complex spend data.
- Design and implement data models to normalize vendor bills across diverse formats and currencies.
- Manage orchestration, scheduling, and backfill mechanics for end-to-end data pipelines.
- Collaborate with product and support teams to identify and resolve data gaps.
