Requirements
- Commercial experience in data engineering or a similar role.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Practical experience with Python.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL or ELT pipelines.
- Experience with Spark, Databricks, or another cloud data processing platform.
- An understanding of data modelling and analytical data structures.
- Experience working with Git and collaborative software development practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot data and pipeline issues.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformations using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and dbt.
- Build and maintain curated data models supporting reporting, Power BI, analytics, and downstream applications.
- Integrate data from multiple source systems and support incremental and automated data processing.
- Build the ELT/ETL infrastructure required for data onboarding using AWS technologies.
- Implement data quality checks, tests, monitoring, and error handling.
- Investigate and resolve data issues, pipeline failures, and performance problems.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements.
- Work with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.
- Support the team in applying BI-as-Code practices.
- Contribute to data and metadata solutions used by AI agents and natural-language analytics tools.
