Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and operating backend services for customer-facing products.
- Experience designing backend service architectures from scratch, rather than only extending existing ones.
- Experience building backend services with Node.js.
- Experience operating services where reliability and scale have direct consequences for users.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across time zones in a small, distributed team.
- Proficiency in GitHub, Slack, and writing technical proposals.
- Clear, professional communication in English.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures.
Responsibilities
- Ship production features end-to-end, from technical proposal to production.
- Build core capabilities for connected-system registration, governance, and credential sharing.
- Develop high-performance, reliable workers for workflow execution at scale.
- Set architectural direction including module boundaries, service interfaces, and naming conventions.
- Establish consistent patterns and engineering standards through code review and documentation.
- Translate security findings into architectural changes and improve trust boundaries and credential handling.
