Requirements
- 10+ years of technical experience in roles such as Software/Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, CTO, or Head of Engineering.
- Proven experience designing or auditing large-scale business systems.
- Practical experience with code reviews, technical due diligence, or system acceptance processes.
- Documented experience with systems involving multiple APIs and external service integrations.
- Experience managing data migrations, legacy systems, and data quality issues.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, backups, and cloud/infrastructure concepts.
- Knowledge of application security, authorization, access control, and data protection.
- Ability to assess documentation quality, repository setups, and vendor lock-in risks.
- Independence from the vendor and a willingness to challenge technical recommendations.
- Proficiency in English or German.
Responsibilities
- Review proposed architecture for business scalability and MVP timeline alignment.
- Assess data models, module boundaries, and business logic placement.
- Evaluate integration and data migration strategies from legacy systems.
- Define and enforce minimum standards for security, testing, logging, monitoring, and documentation.
- Review repository structures, access rules, and enforce code review best practices.
- Periodically audit code quality and compliance with agreed technical standards.
- Assess CI/CD pipelines, deployment approaches, and system resilience.
- Ensure continuous technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate system transferability and vendor dependency risks.
- Document technical risks and recommendations for project stakeholders.
